Abstract
Soft tissue afhesives are required to perform a variety of functions: stop bleeding seal leaks bind tissue and/or facilitate healing (1). several types of polymeric tissue adh3sives are currently available commercially. Yet, despite considerable developments in the past decade these adhesives display low biocompatibility potential toxicity and low dherence to wet surfaces the biological glues are expensive often show relatively poor mechanical and tissuebonding properties and are potentially immunogenic.
