Active control of the emission of a 2D optofluidic random laser

Abstract

We present an optofluidic 2D random laser where multiple scattering replaces the optical cavity. Spatial emission, which is isotropic for uniform transverse optical pumping, is forced in any given direction by iteratively shaping the optical pump profile.
