Abstract

A linear time-invariant singularly perturbed system with point-wise and distributed small time delays is considered. A direct approach to exact slow-fast decomposition of this system is proposed. Unlike the existing method, this approach does not require the asymptotic stability of the fast subsystem. Moreover, not requiring a complicated mathematical technique, this approach is much simpler for using in various engineering applications. An illustrative example is presented.
