Abstract

This interactive demonstration provides hands-on experiences with six technology tools for learning communities. Demonstrations include scripted collective inquiry, discourse supports, analytics, and generative synthesis of ideas. This session introduces each platform and the affiliated research teams, but also aims to illustrate how these CSCL tools can be used together, in combination. To illustrate the complementary nature of the distinct pedagogical perspectives that drove their development, these tools will be demonstrated in pairs. The session will close with a plenary discussion and an invitation to continue the discussion on platforms featured in this session.
