Abstract
בשלהי ימי הבית השני, תחת שלטונם של המלכים החשמונאים והורדוס אחריהם, חוותה ירושלים תקופה של שגשוג ופיתוח. העיר התפתחה, מפעלי בניה סיפקו פרנסה למספר רב של בעלי מלאכה וכתוצאה מכך נוסדו סדנאות לאמנים מתמחים ביניהם סדנאות לסיתות אבן לקידום פריטים אדריכליים שונים.
