Abstract
המאמר עוסק בתפיסת השכל החומרי בכתבי הוגים יהודים-ביזנטיים בשלהי ימי הביניים, תוך התמקדות בהגותם של אלנתן קלקיש, יהודה משקוני, מרדכי כומטינו ואפרים בן גרשון. המאמר דן בהתייחסות הוגים אלה למבנה השכל וחלוקתו לכוחות ונפשות, וכן למקורות השכל ותהליכי ההתהוות שלו, תוך התייחסות למונח 'הנפש החכמה'.
