Abstract
ההתחקות במשך ארבעה עשורים אחר מפעלות הבנייה של המלך הורדוס הפכה להיות אחת מתרומותיו המחקריות המשמעותיות ביותר של אהוד נצר, כזו שניתן ממש להגדירה כמפעל חייו. והנה, אחד האלמנטים ברפרטואר ריהוט הרחוב ההורדוסי, שמקומם נפקד עד היום מן הממצא הארכאולוגי וכנגזרת לכך גם מהדיון המחקרי, היו מתקני המים.
