המאמר עוסק בבירורה של הערת מסורה אחת ובגלגוליה. הערת המסורה מופיעה בכתבי יד רבים ובדפוסים ועניינה הוא ההבחנה בין שתי צורות לשון קרובות: נעשה (שי"ן בסגול) ונעשה (שי"ן בקמץ).
