מאמר זה בוחן את "פרשת ילדי תימן" מנקודת מבט של הרפואה, המשפט הרפואי ומדיניות בריאות בתחילת דרכה של המדינה. המאמר מתייחס גם ליצירת האתוס והנרטיב ההיסטורי של ילדי תימן הנעדרים.
