Abstract
במאמר זה מוצגים תוצאות פעולות תיעוד, סקר וחפירה שנערכו על ידי המחברים באתר ובסביבתו הקרובה החל מסוף שנות ה-90 של המאה ה-כ'. ממצאים אלה מעידים על יישוב יהודי גדול שהתקיים במקום בימי בית שני ועד ימי מרד בר כוכבא ומרמזים על קיומה של מצודה חשמונאית-הרודיאנית באתר. (מתוך המאמר).
