מחבר המאמר עוקב אחר האופן שבו נתפס והתפרש ניטשה בביקורתיהם של אהרון דוד גורדון ושל מרטין בובר, תוך התמקדות במושגים בולטים בהגותו של ניטשה, כגון: העל-אדם, הרצון לעוצמה, תפיסת החויה הדתית, ההתגלות, וביקורתו כנגד תפיסת האלוהים.
