מטרת הפרק היא לתאר ולנתח את תפיסותיהן השונות של נשים מוכות זקנות ביחס למקומה של הסליחה כחלק מחוויה ארוכת שנים של יחסים אינטימיים אלימים. כיצד נחווים זיכרונות האלימות לאורך החיים וההזדקנות בעיני נשים אלו, האם ניתן לשכוח חוויות מסוג זה שהצטברו במהלך חיים שלמים?
