Abstract
בקהילת המלומדים הקראית באיסטנבול בראשית המאה ה-16 התעוררה מחלוקת בשאלה אם יש לקבל את תורת השכל החומרי של אבן רשד או לדחותה. בגי, כנראה ראש המדברים בסיעת המתנגדים לתורה זו, הוא המלומד היחיד שעל עמדותיו במחלוקת יש בידינו דיווח מפורט ב"כתר כהנה".
