מאמר זה בוחן את המעורובת של זמביה בסכסוך במזרח התיכון בשנים 1973-1964 כאשנב לשאיפות המדיניות והאידיאולוגיות של ממשלת קאונדה בתקופה שלאחר היציאה לעצמאות, הן בזמביה והן מחוצה לה, כמו גם לגורלן של שאיפות אלו לנוכח נסיבות גיאפוליטיות שנכפו על ואתה ממשלה. (מתוך המאמר)
