עולם הדגמים המופיע על פני מטבעות החשמונאים, המהווים את הקבוצה הגדולה מבין מטבעות היהודים. מדובר בצעדים הראשונים של האומנות היהודית כפי שהיא נגלית לנו בביטויים החזותיים של שלטון יהודי עצמאי.
