Abstract
מה בין שנאת יהודים לאנטישמיות? האם ניתן להשתמש בשני מונחים מודרניים אלה במחקר של תקופות טרום מודרניות? האם יביאו למחקר ההיסטורי ערך מוסף? שאלות אלו קשורות לאפשרות לזהות את המושגים האלה ואת יישומם בתקופות שבהן הם לא התקיימו כמונחיםף ונוגעות להגדרה של אנטישמיות בימינו בכלל ובמחקר ההיסטורי בפרט. המאמר מציע לבחון את שאלת זיהוים ויישומם של מושגים אלה בתקופה הביזנטית המוקדמת-התיכונה כדי לאתר נקודת מבט חדשה לבחינת משמעותם ושימושם.
