Čerenkov Radiation from Particles Carrying Orbital Angular Momentum in a Cylindrical Waveguide

Abstract

We find the Čerenkov radiation emitted from charged particles carrying OAM in a cylindrical waveguide. The spectrum contains sharp resonances correlated to the particle's OAM, offering a novel spectroscopy method for OAM of charged particles.
