Research interests

Yossi Harel-Fisch is the founding-director of the International Research Program on Adolescent Well-Being and Health, School of Education, Bar Ilan University, and he is the Chief Scientist of the Israel Anti-Drugs Authority (IADA), The Government of Israel, Jerusalem. He is an international expert on adolescent risk behaviors prevention and health promotion research who developed the “Youth Resiliency” intervention model to reduce truancy and risk behaviors by enhancing well-being. During the past three decades Harel-Fisch has been involved in initiating and implementing national and cross-national scientific survey systems to enhance evidence-based policies and programs in many countries worldwide. He is a member of the International Coordinating Committee and the P.I. for Israel, of the World Health Organization's Health Behavior in School-Age Children (WHO-HBSC).
