I am a comparative education sociologist, currently studying how emerging educational trends and innovations in teaching, learning, and policy implementation are "translated" into the everyday practice of the classroom. My research examines the aspects of sociocultural sensitivity to bridge the gap between "intended" policy and implemented practice across diverse multicultural and socioeconomically complex contexts.
Since 2023, I have been involved in the StudAct project (ERC), investigating youth agency and activism in different educational, social, and political contexts. We also explore the intersection of health and education, revealing the fragmented understanding of youth health and foregrounding a more holistic approach. Our work ultimately advocates for a more profound dialogue between these two vital spheres to better support school-aged youth.
