Personal profile

Research interests

I am an industrial engineer and my research focuses on economic optimization in three domains: (i) Inventory Theory, (ii) Supply Chain Management, and (iii) Statistical Quality Control. In my studies I model the objective function of one or more parties in a supply chain, and using analytical and numerical tools I analyze the properties of the model and investigate how to optimize it. The main innovations of my studies are in considering the effect of product age on demand for perishable items, and modelling supply chains of virtual products, such as software, mobile applications, e-books, music and movies, which are ubiquitous in the digital era.
