Dr. Siniel Atamna is a graduate of the Gender Studies Program at Bar-Ilan University. She continued her postdoctoral studies at the School of Education and Social Work at the University of Sussex, England.

Her research focuses on the intersection of gender, class, and ethno-national identity among women in Arab-Palestinian society in Israel. Drawing on critical feminist and sociological theoretical frameworks, she examines the lived experiences of Arab-Palestinian working-class mothers and their daughters in Israel, particularly in the context of education, wage labor, and poverty.

Recently, her research has expanded to address precariat employment and pension inequality among Arab-Palestinian Generation Y mothers, examining how neoliberal structures reproduce “gender contracts” along ethnic and class lines. Her work has been published in leading international jour
