Personal profile

Research interests

My current research focus is nutrition aspects of bariatric surgery in the pre- and post-terms including nutritional deficiencies, dietary supplementation, preparation programs and educational regimes pre-surgery, success definitions, nutrition complications and therapies, long-term nutritional outcomes, and populations at nutritional risk such as vegetarians, pregnant women and others.
I investigate some medical aspects of bariatric surgery in the short and long-run following the surgery. One major medical topic of interest is GI symptoms which may appear or deteriorate following the surgery and its potential therapies. Furthermore, I am engaged in research on weight stigma and obesity definition.
