Personal profile
Research interests
The research I lead is focused on two main directions that branch into several exciting and novel drug development projects: Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacology. The field of Bioorganic and Medicinal Chemistry combines design and synthesis (structure-activity relationship), drug delivery approaches (pro-drugs), targeting and mechanistic studies, and bio-analytical studies. The work centers on interrelationships between chemistry and biological activities, including the evaluation of different disease models. The field of pharmacology combines ‘anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory studies’, pharmacological evaluation of biomedically important bioactive compounds, towards drug discovery, including collaboration with AI and machine learning team.
