    Research interests

    Professor Rivka Shemesh-Raiskin is head of the department of Hebrew and Semitic languages at Bar-Ilan University. Her main research areas are syntax, discourse analysis, semantics, and pragmatics of classic Hebrew, and in particular Mishnaic Hebrew. Her book Halachic Give-and-Take Conversations in the Mishnah (in Hebrew) will be published this year by The Academy of the Hebrew Language Press.
