Research interests

Paula Feder-Bubis is a Lecturer in the Department of Health Systems Management at the Faculty of Health Sciences and the Guilford-Glaser Faculty of Business and Management at BenGurion University of the Negev in Israel. A medical and health sociologist, she received her PhD in Public Health in 2006 from the Hebrew University-Hadassah Braun School of Public Health and Community Medicine. Her research interests include health organizations management and policies, the impact of health systems reforms at micro-, meso-, and macro-levels, and health care personnel issues. Dr. Feder-Bubis is currently involved in researching individual's adherence to public-health- recommended screening tests, cultural competence in health organizations, and the practice and implications of defensive medicine. She specializes in qualitative methodologies, a topic she teaches alongside courses in Sociology of Health, both to graduate and undergraduate students.
