Research interests
Dr. Miriam Bentwich specializes in biomedical ethics, with a rich background in political philosophy (PhD), proven expertise in empirical ethics and normative-philosophical ethics research. Her academic publications include a book (Reclaiming Liberty; Palgrave-Macmilan, 2012) and articles in leading academic journals (e.g., Nature Biotechnology, American Journal of Bioethics, American Journal of Public Health, Nursing Ethics, etc.).
Dr Bentwich leads the Medical Ethics & Humanities program at the Faculty of Medicine and was responsible for its unique and innovative design as well as its successful application. Dr. Bentwich is a recipient of the competitive grant offered by the National Institute for Health Policy and won numerous prestigious fellowships and prizes (e.g. Fulbright Post-Doc Fellowship, Dan-David prize for outstanding young researcher, Lady Davis Post-Doc Fellowship, etc.)
