Personal profile

Research interests

Prof. Klein is a graduate of the Department of Physics at Tel-Aviv University. After being a postdoctoral fellow at Bar-Ilan University and Stanford University, he joined the Department of Physics at Bar-Ilan University in 1997 where he established the Spintronics and Nanomagnetism Laboratory. Prof. Klein is the representative of the Department of Physics at the scientific committee of the Institute of Nanotechnology and is in charge of the Nano-magnetism Research Center.

Research

The research of Prof. Klein is in the field of spintronics with special interest in magnetotransport properties of magnetic perovskites.

Basic and applied research of properties of magnetic conductors (spintronics). The basic research includes the study of the behavior of the components of the transport tensor of ceramic magnetic conductors (perovskites), phenomena related to the interaction between spin-polarized current and the magnetization of the compound, and magnetization reversal in magnetic nanoparticles with emphasis on the detection of macroscopic quantum tunneling. The applied research includes the development of magnetic memory and magnetic sensors based of the group patents.
