Galia Yanoshevsky is Full Professor of the French Culture Department at Bar-Ilan University and an active member of ADARR research group (Tel-Aviv, Bar-Ilan). She was Head of French Culture Department (2009-2012, 2020-2023). She is a discourse analyst working at the crossroads of literature and journalism through a multi-modal approach combining text, image, and performance. Her early research dealt with the New Novel in France, manifestos, and the literary interview. In her current research she investigates ephemeral genres such as scam letters and tourist guidebooks. Between 2016-2020 she led an ISF funded research on the representations of collective memory in tourist guidebooks. She is currently working on a Digital Humanities project which delves into photobooks of Israel.
In 2013 she was awarded Chevalier dans l'ordre des palmes académiques.
