Personal profile
Research interests
Head, Management and Community MA Program.
My field of specialization is community social work (macro-practice). This field focuses on promoting change, with a view toward enhancing the ability of individuals and communities to solve problems and participate in decision-making about issues that affect their lives. As a coordinator of the immigrant absorption sector in a large city, I was responsible for improving the personal and community well-being of excluded and disadvantaged population. Therefore, this is one of the main issues I deal with in my academic work. Specifically, I focus on issues related to macro-practice and immigration from three perspectives: research, teaching and as the coordinator of community and organizational development program.
Research:
- Immigration
- Community practice in social work
- Supervision in social work
- Voluntarism
