Personal profile

Research interests

My research lies at the intersection of theoretical and observational astrophysics. I am especially interested in questions pertaining to the environs of supermassive black holes with implications for their growth and evolution, as well as to the physics of dilute plasma within galaxies and in between galaxies in relation to galaxy assembly over cosmic times, and the baryonic content of the intergalactic space. I am also interested in methods of time-series analysis, high-precision photometry, and photo-polarimetry to shed light on fundamental questions in astrophysics. In addition, I am heading the recently constructed astronomical observatory at the University of Haifa.
