Personal profile

Research interests

I am a director of a doctoral program "Psychoanalysis and Hermeneutics" in the Program for Hermeneutics and Cultural Studies at Bar-Ilan University, a clinical psychologist, a psychoanalyst (member of Tel Aviv Institute for Contemporary Psychoanalysis). I have two topics of interest: 1. how and in what way different kinds of psychoanalytic communities develop their theories and what are their images of knowledge? My main findings were published in Conservative and Radical Perspectives of Psychoanalytic Knowledge: The Fascinated and the Disenchanted (Routledge, 2016) 2. Over the past years I have been working to develop a new moral psychology, an attachment approach to moral judgment that calls for a conceptual revolution in our understanding of morality. The first two papers describing this model were published by Frontiers in Psychology (2015) and are accessible to all readers.
